Ready for your dreamy beach photoshoot? This is your guide to my favorite beaches and beach views for photoshoots!

San Diego has so many incredible beaches that all offer different elements and vibes. I’ve narrowed down some unique options (and places with decent parking) so that your photos are as dreamy as you are.

Windansea Beach

Windansea is my FAVORITE beach in San Diego. This is a special spot because the shore is surrounded by cliffs and rocks which is super nice for diversifying your photos. Parking is also usually easy because it’s hidden by a neighborhood.

Sunset Seat

This is a beautiful trail alongside the coast with beach access nearby. There’s a gorgeous bridge view and you might even be able to catch the Surfliner train in the background of your photos (very Studio Ghibli coded).

Ocean Beach

Out of all the central beaches (OB, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach), Ocean Beach is my favorite. The pier adds a really nice element to the background and it’s a super chill crowd on the weekdays. Plus, the parking is a lot easier than other central beaches.

Sunset Cliffs (Natural Park area)

Sunset Cliffs is similar to Sunset Seat, but it’s more of a viewpoint/trail than a beach. This specific area is further down from the main sunset cliffs area with trails and beautiful ocean views.
